What we do
RED Scientific is a long established, independent consultancy who specialise in Operational Analysis, Data Science, Mathematical Modelling and Digital Engineering. We deliver the Science Behind Improved Decision making.
We deliver actionable insight and safe, compliant, supportable systems.
Formed in 1990, RED has grown from a niche operational analysis and modelling company into a broad-based consultancy supporting our customers’ domain and technical specialist requirements.
We work with Ministry of Defence (MoD) organisations such as DE&S, Dstl and Army HQ, other government departments and agencies as well as a wide range of defence primes.

How we work
RED is a technical support, research and consultancy company and a long term supplier of specialist technical and management resources to both Defence and Central Government.
Where appropriate, RED utilises a collaborative trading model utilising:
- Staff;
- Associates;
- SMEs and Micro SMEs;
This model allows us to combine the core attributes of a Small to Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) – customer focus, agility, flexibility and value for money – with the technical & specialist skills and footprint more usually associated with much larger organisations.
To enable us to do this we maintain close relationships with a large number of associates and organisations to provide specialist support. RED often partners with large primes, other SMEs and Universities to develop consortia to meet specific customer needs and we have close relationships with some strategic partners.
RED Scientific has relationships with departments and schools from a number of UK Universities, covering many areas of expertise. These partnerships enable us to offer access to some of the leading experts in their fields.
