With recent recruitments to our in-house research team, RED is expanding its work in autonomous systems.
Our recent projects include the development of an unmanned vehicle designed to detect, identify and report the position of a number of threats within an urban environment and a 3-D imaging system that enhances situational awareness.
We also recently undertook work for the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and Dstl to develop new technology solutions for coordinating a suite of Marine Autonomous Systems (MAS) that will enable tracking of dynamic features. These dynamic features will include oceanic fronts, phytoplankton blooms and oil spills, as well as linear features such as ice edges.
