Last Friday, RED’s very own Darren White took part in a scrapping evening with the 8th Alton Scout group, where Darren is one of the Scout Leaders. This involved breaking up old laptops and other electronic equipment into metal, plastic, PCBs and wiring for recycling. For safety and security, all of the hard disks were smashed with hammer by Darren!

The money raised from this recycling goes towards New Hope Uganda, a charity which helps orphans in Africa. Through various initiatives and children’s centers, New Hope Uganda provides direct care for orphaned, vulnerable, abandoned, and special needs children and their communities.
