We are delighted to welcome Paul Lyman to RED Scientific. Paul is joining us from Treanor-Pujol, manufacturers of pre-cast concrete products where he was employed as the Operations Director. Paul spent the first 25 years of his working life in the British Army, in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. He left in 2013 where his final role was the Engineering Operations Warrant Officer for a REME battalion in Catterick where he Project managed the task of training over 1300 Engineers of varying trade abilities and groups.  Utilising a large training team and a fleet of UOR training vehicles.  This included dealing with budgetary constraints, trade development, and competence including Quality assurance of all course training objectives and instructional abilities of the staff delivering training.

He was also the Battalion Health and Safety Officer being NEBOSH qualified in Occupational Health & Safety, Fire Safety & Risk Management, and Construction Health & Safety.

Paul went on to be the Workshop Engineering Manager for a centrifugal impeller pump manufacturer where he was responsible for the daily workload of 20+ Workshop Engineers, Drivers & Stores persons. Directing office staff workloads including Hire, Site service, Sales and repairs. From there he moved on to be the Works Engineering Manager at a Nuclear power cooling water valve / pump repair/refurbishment firm in Leeds. Where he managed Corroserve’s comprehensive engineering workshop and controlled maintenance of all the factory’s assets.

Paul’s main hobbies are running, dog walking and trying to lower his handicap on the golf course.
